Final Freekend (Corn Kidz 2011)
A downloadable game for Windows
The 2010-2011 prototype later resurrected as Corn Kidz in 2021 after 10 years in limbo.
Made in Blitz 3D (therefore it may have compatibility issues with some modern systems, so don't pay money for it only to find it won't work)
Never publicly released because it was always intended to make it into something better which now I did so don't forget to buy Corn Kidz 64 on Steam/Switch.

There's maybe about as much to do in this game as in the first level of Corn Kidz but with a lot more empty space to run around and the moveset is much more of a standard Mario/Banjo clone. Plays more friendly with a keyboard than Corn Kidz does but controller still recommended.
See included .txt file for controls and other info.

---story
In a kingdom of demons on the edge of dreams and reality, Ally the rebellious demon goat is having trouble enjoying her weekend with the threat of having to go to demon school on Monday. As time does not pass in this realm the same way it does on Earth, each day a different ruler takes over the kingdom, so Ally sets out to Monday Manor to assassinate Lord Monday so the weekend can last forever. Though many have died in such attempts, Lords Saturday and Sunday are still happy to assist and Ally is granted the power of the Saturday morning star to wallop her enemies and granted other new abilities by finding the holy Sunday Squares.
(none of this actually happens in this little game, that's just how it would have been if it were finished)
---changes/additions made to this game in 2024 (outside of these it is fully a 2011 game)
-Title screen added
-Ending screens added (with 2011 art)

-a few missing sfx added
-a couple bugs fixed
-support for modern controllers
-added a few things to do in the unfinished 2nd world as a bonus (collect all XP to access)

This is where it all started, very cool :D
Does this work with an Xbox One controller?
Xbox controls are the default so it should work fine.
I added this game to Steam on my Windows desktop and on my Steam Deck, I love prototypes! I hope you make a Corn Kidz 2!!! I hope that the sequel is longer and has more new mechanics, levels, powerups, abilities and Alexis is playable (like Coco in N. Sane Trilogy and Crash 4).
this looks cool but the camera wont stop spinning, also crashes randomly
If you are trying to use a Playstation or Switch controller you need to set it in the controls.ini file. If not then some other device is probably being registered as an analog input.
I hope you incorporate some of the abilities in this prototype into a Corn Kidz 64 sequel. I would love to play as Alexis with Ally's moveset while still staying true to the gameplay of Corn Kidz 64.
Will the Full release also be available on Itch or at lease on GOG?
I absolutely loved Corn Kidz 64, and this was a great time as well. It's nice to know how the game started out at first. Thank you for releasing this!
got 100%! thanks for releasing this!
love corn kidz and this is goated game
We need a Corn Kidz 2
i hope we have some sequel
I hope BogoSoft adds some of the abilities in this prototype, such as the double jump and the gun, but make the gun like Conker's Bad Fur Day where its context sensitive only to not ruin the flow of the walljumps and horndive.
I'm totally stumped on some collectables, but it's very fun, and the movement feels great!
The giant following ball in the sky in the hub world (red mist area) can be climbed, you just need to do some backflips to reach it and avoid sliding down the pyramid below it.
2 MB?
you could actually fit this on an n64 cart with that size
wow!
